El 26 de Febrero de 2012 la estrella adolescente de televisión Richard Wisker fue invitado al Centro Comercial de Stratford en el este de Londres, vecindario que en ese momento estaba siendo “regenerado” para los Juegos Olímpicos.

East End Girl hace referencia al este de Londres una zona marginal afectada por las polítcas de regeneración. El video es una observación de las chicas del vecindario que entre la felicidad y la ansiedad hacen fila esperando el autógrafo de la estrella de TV.

2012 was the year of the Olympic Games in London. One of the areas afected by “regeneration” policies was Stratford in the east London. On 26 February the teenage TV actor Richard Wisker was invited by the Stratford old (and small) Shopping Mall to sign autographs. Many of his fans made a long cue to meet him and to get his autograph. I stayed the whole day from 10am to 6pm doing a contemplative video of the girls in the cue waiting in both a state of excitement and anxiety.
